TAKE YOUR CORDLESS MOWING EXPERIENCE TO THE NEXT LEVEL WITH THE ALL NEW HARRIER 56.
The all-new Harrier 56 is capable of cutting lawns up to 1000m² in size thanks to it's dual battery ports which lets you run up to two 10Ah batteries at the same time. It has been designed for large gardens and professional landscapers demanding the utmost in power and cutting performance; thanks to the powerful 2.0kW brushless DC motor, the Harrier 56 delivers this with ease. It also features Hayter's electronic transmission with independent blade and drive operation ensuring precise control, minimal wear and increased safety. The end result is a a smoother mowing experience, optimisation of power usage and an enhanced performance, all while delivering a crisp, neat stripe to the lawn that Hayter's are famous for.
It has been designed as a powerful petrol alternative powered by Hayter's 60V battery system giving you high performance with no fumes and less noise and vibrations than that of a petrol mower. Thanks to the lack of petrol engine, it is easy to maintain and economic to run, saving you time and money; the DC brushless motor ensures that you experience a mower that starts first time, every time meaning you get a great finish with less hassle.
This models shares many features with it's petrol counterpart as well as handy new features:
- Dual battery ports for increased runtimes - While you can run on just one battery (it is recommended 8Ah and higher) and the mower will still work, it will not reach it's full potential with power or runtimes. In order to reach the maximum runtime of up to 1000m², it is recommended to use two 8.0Ah batteries.
- Aluminium deck shell with trim side design - The design means the edge is completely flush with the rear roller and front wheels allowing you to mow right up to the edge of the lawn or around raised or sunken flower beds. The aluminium deck also comes with a lifetime warranty against cracking or breaking under normal use.
- Easy-wash deck port - Clean grass build up quickly and easily without getting your hands dirty, simply connect your garden hose to the deck port.
- Split, two-piece rear roller - A ribbed roller offers superior traction as well as giving a perfect stripe finish while the two-piece design allows you to turn the mower at the end of a run with no scuffing of the lawn.
- Folding handlebars - For easy storage requiring less space.
- Smart power - Intelligent Power Boost software maximises runtimes and performance by automatically adjusting motor speed to match the conditions and optimising battery life. When you are faced with tougher mowing conditions, engage Boost Max mode.
- High-performance cut & collection system - Vari-Pitch cutting technology is utilised to effectively remove grass clippings once they have been cut ensuring efficient collection into the large, 60 litre grass bag. Front and side fins are also used to remove all grass clippings once they have been cut.
Vari-Pitch cutting technology is a clever design which automatically compensates for reductions in air flow by altering the angle of the cutting deck improving airflow and thus collection. The powerful self-propelled engine has adjustable speed allowing you to mow at your pace and adapt easily as the terrain and grass condition changes. The variable speed control allows you to set the pace, choose between 1.0 - 3.2 mph helping to take some of the strain of cutting the grass.
This listing is for a complete kit which includes two 8.0Ah batteries and a 4.0A 2-pod charger allowing you to be up and mowing almost straight away, if you require additional mowing power or longer working times, there are a range of batteries to choose from allowing you to add and adapt as needed. This kit has been designed with a view to cutting gardens of approximately 1000m² in size.

The Hayter company was started by Douglas Hayter in 1946. They have been designing and producing premium quality lawn mowers at their headquarters in Hertfordshire for over 75 years!
2021 saw the launch of the new Hayter Green Series battery operated mowers and machinery.
With the GreenSeries™ Hayter introduced their battery powered lawnmowers which are right up-to date and environmentally green in nature as well as green in name.
The Green series mowers are available in three ranges. The four wheel steel bodied Osprey, the compact Hawk roller models or aluminium bodied rear roller Harrier range in three sizes from 41 to 56cm.
To help you decide which mower would be best for you, it's really useful to know how big your lawn is! One of our suppliers, Husqvarna, have a great tool that makes use of satellite mapping so that you can draw around your garden to get a lawn size measurement. Although the tool was originally designed to help choose which of their Automowers would best suit your garden, it can equally well be used to establish the size of your garden when choosing a walk behind mower.

The first question, and maybe the most important question, people ask when considering a battery mower is "how long will the battery last?" There are a few things to consider when choosing a battery mower and the correct size battery for your lawn; here is a handy guide to helping you choose the right battery for your needs.
- Watt hours. (Voltage V x Amperage Amp = Watt Hours Wh) Watt hours show how much power is stored within the battery; the higher the Watt hours, the mower power the battery has.
- The area to cut. Each mower will have a recommended garden size against it, however, the cutting conditions can have a big effect on just how much you can cut. The more inclines on the lawn and the the longer and/or thicker the grass is, the mower power will be consumed. If this is an issue for you, you may want to consider opting for a larger battery.
- Knowing your trigger time. Hayter recommend you choose a mower and battery based on the size of area you need to cut rather than how long the battery will last. The important thing to consider is the amount of time the mower will actually be in use; stopping to empty the grass bag or move obstacles from the lawn will affect the time it takes to complete the task, but will have no affect on trigger time.
