The NEW BGA 250 is a powerful, hand-held leaf blower which has been designed for professional contractors tackling the toughest clearing jobs in landscaping and horticulture. With a maximum blowing force of 26N, it is the most powerful leaf blower from STIHL to date, and thanks to clever electronic technology, the blowing force remains constant throughout the entire battery charge. This means the power will not decrease as the battery life does ensuring that you receive full power whether the battery is 100% or 20% charged until it is completely out of energy.
Weighing only 2.7kg it is well balanced, and highly manoeuvrable making it very easy to use in either your left or right hand with no strain to the arm or wrist. The angle of the handle compared to the blower tube has been designed to keep the blower steady even when used at full power; the battery is located underneath the impeller and handle making it perfectly balanced and meaning no tipping is required to get the right working angle.
The highly efficient electric motor benefits from virtually no mechanical wear and as it is very quiet when compared to petrol blowers so you do not need to wear defenders this also makes it ideal for use in noise sensitive areas or for those working days that may finish a little later. Thanks to the electronics being sealed and encapsulated, the BGA 250 is IPX4 certified which means it is protected against splashes from all sides and can be used in rainy conditions safely.
The variable speed trigger has a boost mode which is great for when you need a little extra power, such as clearing large piles of wet leaves. The power settings mean that you are easily able to match the blowing power to the work being carried out allowing you to conserve battery life and get the longest working times out of the battery. A handy cruise-control option is also available, perfect for those longer jobs and when combined with a shoulder harness, the weight can be distributed making it even easier to use.
Part of the AP battery range, the BGA 250 is recommended for use with the AP 300 S battery (available separately, please see our batteries and chargers section) which will give you a run-time of 12-40 minutes depending on which power level you choose.
