MS 151 TC-E PETROL CHAINSAW: STIHL'S LIGHTEST TOP-HANDLE CHAINSAW *FOR USE BY TRAINED ARBORISTS ONLY*
The STIHL MS 151 TC-E is the lightest top handle saw currently made by STIHL and is an upgraded version of the MS 151; it features a new 2-MIX engine consisting of a new cylinder, piston & exhaust which gives the saw a 1.05kW increase to power and 15% in torque bringing it up to 1.1Nm. These changes have been made all the while retaining the lightweight nature of the saw making it perfect for tree maintenance by trained arborists.
The 2-MIX engine is more environmentally-friendly and economical giving you up to 20% lower fuel consumption than regular 2-stroke engines and a significantly reduced level of exhaust emissions and with the compensator located in the carburettor keeping the fuel/air ratio constant, you get more power for longer. The air filter will have a much longer life meaning you do not need to carry out any maintenance to the filter until you notice an appreciable drop in power and when it is time to change, you can do so without the need for tools due to the service-friendly air filter system.
Fitted with a manual fuel pump to deliver fuel direct to the carburettor at the push of a button and STIHL's ErgoStart technology, it is easy to start-up so you can get on with the job straight away; it cuts the effort required to start the tool by half while the starter cord needs only be gently pulled with two fingers. It also has a fold-out hook which serves as a safety and security device allowing the saw to be lowered and attached to the arborist, when the hook is pushed in, it will not get in the way of your working.
The combination of a narrow guide bar and the 1/4" Picco chain offers considerable savings in weight and an improved cutting performance.
Also available in a 12" option here, both bar lengths give quick, precise cuts making this saw a great choice for smaller tasks that require accuracy and precision.
