The STIHL MS 881 is a new saw and is a direct replacement for the MS 880. It is the most powerful chainsaw on the market with the highest displacement and engine power - 121.6cc and 6.4kW - meaning it is built for high-performance work and ideal for professional foresters and loggers. This chainsaw is excellent for working in extreme conditions and harvesting big timber, it can also be secured to a saw frame if needed.
The 2-MIX engine technology ensures high torque over a wide range of speed making those tougher jobs easier to handle, and with the handy stop button function, a warm saw is ready to start back up again at any time. The long-life HD2 air filter has up to 70% finer pores to trap even the finest dust particles and is oil and water repellent making it very easy to clean and maintain; with the quick-release lock fitted, it is also very quick and easy to reach without the need for tools.
Other handy features are a side chain tensioner for easy adjustments to the chain, captive chain nuts to make chain replacement simple, tool free filler caps on both the fuel and oil tanks for easy opening and locking without the need for tools, STIHL's ElastoStart function which helps to reduce shock during starting and of course an anti-vibration system which significantly reduces vibrations at the handles making it more comfortable to use for extended periods of time.
