The STIHL FSA 80 R is a battery-powered brush cutter designed for tackling the toughest mowing, cutting and clearing jobs that you may face in the home garden. The brushless EC electric motor is very energy efficient and practically maintenance free. Thanks to its outstanding efficiency, the battery power is directly translated into impressive performance. During operation, you can choose from one of two speed settings to suit the task at hand; ECO mode (level 1) is ideal for simple tasks such as lawn trimming or for those times when a bit more power is needed, such as tackling thicker, longer grass, select full-speed mode (level 2).
Thanks to the efficient EC motor, this brush cutter is quiet and produces no fumes making it great for working in noise sensitive areas or for working into the evening without causing a disturbance to neighbours or other family members.
This R version of the FSA 80 has a loop handle which is excellent for areas with less room to manoeuvre; the user is able to navigate obstacles with ease and can easily guide the machine with minimal effort. It is also supplied as standard with a basic harness which will help to help spread the weight during those longer working times, it is also fitted with an AutoCut 27-2 mowing head but it is compatible with other cutting tools such as the TrimCut, DuroCut, PolyCut and GrassCut cutting tools (all available separately) If you do wish to change heads, they can be changed easily by hand without the need for tools.

Available as a kit with an AK 30 battery and an AL 101 charger here, and also available as a bike-handle version here which is better suited to clearing larger areas of grass.
