The Mountfield SP555 V is a premium lawnmower packed with range of high specification features. Fitted with innovative cutting technology - a Twinclip blade with four cutting surfaces instead of two that makes tackling the grass an effortless task while leaving a finish that is comparable to a cylinder mower. The first cutting edge of the Twinclip blade reduces the initial length of the grass with the second cutting edge reducing the finished length down to the desired height. The extra finely cut clippings are then blown into the 70 litre collector typically leading to an increase in collecting performance of around 20%.
Powered by the NEW Honda GCVx170 Autochoke engine this model also features a heavy duty, aluminium, high torque cone clutch transmission with a torque converter which combines light and easy operation with smooth acceleration through an infinitely variable range of cutting speeds. The SP555 V has a unique hybrid chassis with the durability of a galvanised and powder coated deep drawn steel cutting chamber with a J section lip for increased strength plus a cast aluminium conveyor at the rear of the machine incorporating the lower handlebar mountings. The conveyor is the perfect shape to maximise air flow which is further enhanced by fins moulded into the anti-scalp plate at the front of the mower. Height of cut is adjusted using a single lever with 7 preset positions from 25mm to 77mm.
The vibration control system isolates vibrations, meaning a more comfortable, less tiring working experience. Cleaning after use is facilitated using a hose connection fitted to the chassis. The robust handle bars are easily adjusted to a choice of 3 positions with a simple one motion click and fold over the engine for ease of storage.
Supported by a 5 year manufacturer's warranty. The 53cm/21in cutting width makes this mower suitable for large gardens up 50m x 50m.

One of our suppliers, Husqvarna, have a great tool that makes use of satellite mapping so that you can draw around your garden to get a lawn size measurement. Although the tool was originally designed to help choose which of their Automowers would best suit your garden, it can equally well be used to establish the size of your garden when choosing a walk behind mower.

Delivery by carrier
For most purchases of £120 inc VAT and over, we offer FREE delivery via carrier to UK mainland except for the Highlands and islands (priced separately by postcode). However, we only deliver ride-on mowers locally and use our own vehicles to do this, see below.
PLEASE NOTE - We are unable to offer delivery to Northern Ireland for many of our machines and accessories; we may have to cancel and refund your order if we are unable to complete this for you.
For purchases of less than £120 inc VAT, there is a small charge of £6 inc VAT
Aspen fuel deliveries will incur an £18 inc VAT delivery surcharge.
Westermann brush deliveries will incur a £36 inc VAT delivery surcharge.
We will contact you if any other charge might apply based on location or product.
Our delivery service is operated by contracted carriers.
Larger boxed items would normally be delivered to you the next working day after shipping. This is a very reliable service and whilst most customers receive their goods the next working day it is not absolutely guaranteed as carriers can have logistical problems.
Smaller items that are shipped in packets for instance, will be posted and should arrive in 2-3 days. If you need these items sooner, please call us and we will endeavour to help where possible.
Please note that delivery can be anytime between 8am and 6pm Monday-Friday. If you need your delivery to be made in a specific time slot, please call us to discuss the options available.
Next working day delivery is subject to the goods being in stock at our warehouse. Please call us to check availability if it is an urgent order.

Delivery is direct from our store in Swanwick using our own vehicles. One of our sales staff will personally contact you and arrange a convenient time to deliver your purchase.
