The Husqvarna Automower® 312V is a new wire-free robotic mower designed to deliver effortless and highly reliable lawn care on lawns up to 1200m² in size. It is one of a new range of robotic mowers available from Husqvarna - the world leaders in robotic mowing. With over 30 years of experience, Husqvarna are trusted by more than 4 million customers around the world. Designed in Sweden and built in Europe, they deliver a quality product that can be trusted to look after your lawn, year after year.
The 312V has selectable mowing patterns enabling you to choose from a striped, checkerboard or triangular pattern on the lawn; any of these mowing patterns will give a working area capacity of up to 1200m². If you would just prefer a neat, carpet-like finish to the lawn, choose the irregular pattern mode which will allow the robot to cut areas in a random way cutting the grass from all directions ensuring a a perfectly-cut finish, this mode will give a working area capacity of up to 800m².
The built-in camera uses AI to detect and identify objects on the lawn ensuring the mower avoids collisions, in addition, the AI Vision Technology combines with satellite navigation to provide coverage of the entire lawn, even in areas with weak satellite signals.
How does the satellite technology work?
In order to achieve centimetre-level accuracy, the mower has to receive positioning data which is provided via the Husqvarna Cloud at no additional cost. This does however require Wi-Fi coverage over the entire lawned area but it does offer excellent positional accuracy, typically better then 5cm.
You can check the wi-fi coverage in your garden by using your smartphone; if required, you can improve the Wi-Fi signal by moving the router closer to the fall facing the garden or by using network accessories such as a range extender of Mesh Wi-Fi system. Alternatively there are accessories available from Husqvarna to help like the Automower® Connect Kit which enables cellular connectivity on the mower, or the EPOS reference station which is a stand-alone solution requiring no internet connection and is able to provide even higher mower position accuracy - around 2 to 3cm. (All accessories are recommended for installation by a Husqvarna dealer)
Handy features of the 312V include:
- ADJUSTABLE VIRTUAL BOUNDARIES: Wire free installation means it is quick and easy to make adjustments to suit your garden and lifestyle. The Husqvarna Automower® app lets you create stay out zones and multiple work areas which can be changed as required.
- AUTOMOWER® CONNECT APP: Enjoy the convenience of remote control from your smartphone with the Automower® Connect app. Here you can change settings, monitor your mower, get easy access tips and manage your mower even when you aren't at home. You are also able to make software updates yourself enabling new features and updates as they are available.
- SECONDARY WORK AREA: If your garden is split into multiple areas which are not connected by a passage, you are able to create separate work areas without a transport path. This means you will need to manually move the mower between the areas but you are able to set it to mow for a selected time, or until the battery is depleted.
- AUTOMATIC PASSAGE HANDLING: The robot will automatically sense narrow passages and will find its way through, it will also vary it's route each time avoiding track marks within the grass.
- WEATHER TIMER: The mower will adjust it's working time to suit the lawns growth rate meaning it will maximise mowing during periods of strong growth and then spend less time mowing in sunny or dry weather when the grass grows less.
- SMART HOME INTEGRATION: Compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Home for convenient voice control and status updates.
It has a unique cutting system. Husqvarna Automower® cuts just a little, but frequently, returning all the micronized, mulched clippings back to the lawn as a nutrient and moisture rich natural fertiliser. This will ensure a beautiful and healthy lawn. It is equipped with sharp razor-like blades made of strong carbon steel mounted on a robust cutting disc system. A robotic mower is the ideal choice for people too busy to maintain their lawns or for those who simply do not enjoy cutting the grass themselves.
