The new ALLPRO AP 100 P is a high-performance, 40V battery developed for professionals and demanding users who need an excellent balance of power, weight and working times. It is compatible with all existing machines in the AP battery system and will also work in all chargers allowing you to add these new batteries into your AP system arsenal. The AP 100P has an energy capacity of 111Wh and delivers up to 1.5kW of peak power while weighing just 0.9kg; this makes it ideal for those times where low weight and manoeuvrability are essential such as hedge trimming with the HSA 140.
At the heart of the new ALLPRO AP battery range, is the advanced tabless cell technology; unlike conventional battery sell, tabless cells allow energy to flow more efficiently throughout the battery, reducing resistance and minimising heat generation, this results in a much higher power output, significantly faster charging times and improved battery life. With an estimated working lifetime of up to 3000 charge cycles, it has been engineered and designed with the demanding, professional user in mind. Before it's release to the market, it has ben rigorously tested to ensure it is capable of surviving the harshest of environments including drop testing, shock testing and repeated splash testing. It is capable of working within a wide range of temperatures from -20°C up to +50°C and is IPX5 rated meaning it can be used in inclement weather, the ALLPRO AP range really has been made to work in any weather and working environment.
Other handy features of the ALLPRO Range include:
- Cold start function - The battery cells are warmed up in a controlled way allowing them to safely deliver full power in as little as 2 minutes (at -20°C)
- Battery cooling - Air is directed through the battery housing to cool the battery and the cells have been connected in such a way to ensure efficient heat dissipation allowing excessive temperatures to be avoided.
- Constant power - The intelligent electronics contained within the battery deliver constant power no matter the charge remaining in the battery.
- Smart control - Information is continuously exchanged between battery, charger & tools allowing energy supply to be optimised at all times. This also ensures potential overheating or deep discharge/overcharging are also avoided protecting the battery in the best possible way.
- Integrated power level indicator - You are able to check the level of charge remaining at the press of a button, allowing you to stay in control throughout your working day.
These batteries can be charged in any of the available AL chargers from STIHL but will give the fastest results when used in the new AL 1802 MO, going from flat to 80% charge in as little as 9 minutes. (*when used in an ambient/battery temperature range of 25-40°C)
