The NEW AP 30 battery offers an excellent entry-level choice for the AP battery range of tools. It is not compatible with all tools but offers a great choice for domestic users or those with light, professional tasks to tackle and is a cheaper alternative to the AP 300 S battery and above.
It has an energy capacity of 270Wh (2.5Ah) and still delivers excellent run-times across a range of tools; as with it's larger counterparts, it is fitted with intelligent battery management allowing for full power to be delivered for the whole working time whether the charge is at 100% or 10%. It also benefits from a power boost function which means the battery will adjust the power delivery to best suit the tool it is being used in and the task being carried out. Battery run-time is also maximised and optimum battery life is ensured by adjusting power if it is needed or if the tool is being used too intensively. It also has a cold start feature allowing the battery to warm the cells in a controlled way before delivering full power and it is able to work down to -20º Celsius.
This battery can be charged in any of the AL chargers from STIHL and is compatible for use at either full-power or reduced power in a range of AP System tools.
