FSA 140 CORDLESS BRUSHCUTTER: POWERFUL CORDLESS BRUSH CUTTER WITH BIKE HANDLE AND GRASSCUT 260-2 CUTTING BLADE.
The NEW STIHL FSA 140 is an upgrade from the previous FSA 135; it is a powerful professional brushcutter, with an improved power-to-weight ratio and a brushless motor producing 1.0kW mechanical power. It is more than capable of taking on the toughest mowing, clearing and scrub-cutting jobs with ease and as it is battery-powered, it is ideal for use in noise sensitive areas such as schools, hospitals and in residential areas.
It is part of the new ALLPRO / AP system but is compatible with all existing AP System batteries; if longer run-times are required, it can be used with the AP 500 S but this will increase the weight of the tool. For professional users, or those with larger clearing tasks to tackle, the FSA 140 can also be used with the AR L connecting cable, battery adaptor and one of the STIHL AR backpack batteries.
Fitted with a GrassCut 260-2 blade, it is ideally suited to tackling grass and scrub over larger areas, this model is fitted with robust bike handles which are also excellent for covering larger areas quickly and with less user fatigue. When used in conjunction with a harness, the user is able to achieve a smooth mowing action and can easily guide the machine with minimal effort. The FSA 140 comes with with a dedicated, adjustable eyelet to attach a harness to if required (This FSA 140 is supplied with a double shoulder harness) and it is also IPX 4 rated meaning it can be safely used in the rain - great for use in our unpredictable British weather!
The ergonomic control handle has three levels of speed selection which you can seamlessly move between at the press of a button; the LED display quickly shows which power level you are currently working in allowing you to adjust as needed and also monitor battery life. Choose from level 1 for lighter trimming tasks which will reduce the rpm and and extend the battery life for longer working times, or increase to level 3 for maximum performance and harder, more demanding tasks. There is also an energy saving mode on the handle for when the battery level is low, this will allow you to continue working for longer but at a reduced power, hopefully to allow you to finish the task at hand.
The FSA 140 is equipped with a new, compact motor which is highly efficient, very low-maintenance and low in weight, this combined with the new metal mesh filter make it easy to keep clean and maintain, leading to less downtime and lower servicing costs. The bike handle is easily adjustable to suit a range of users and extend comfort, without the need for tools. It is also compatible with the STIHL Smart Connector allowing you to easily integrate it into your fleet management system allowing you to keep an eye on routine maintenance, run times and other handy features.
