FSA 400 CORDLESS CLEARING SAW: VERY HIGH-PERFORMANCE TOOL FOR PROFESSIONAL WORK.
The NEW FSA 400 is STIHL's most powerful battery-powered brush cutter to date, delivering an incredible 2kW of mechanical power, it is comparable in performance to that of the petrol-powered FS 411 C-EM brush cutter. Thanks to the robust gearbox and high-performance anti-vibration system the FSA 400 can be used with an extensive selection of cutting tools allowing you to cover a range of mowing tasks with just the one machine. It can be used with the AutoCut 46-2 and mowing line, PolyCut blades, metal brush knives, shredder blades and circular saw blades allowing you to tackle anything from trimming overgrown grassed areas, clearing thick scrub and brush and even for felling young trees.
Power is delivered from the motor to the gearbox via a 8mm thick, solid output shaft; this robust design is the reason it is able to run an extensive assortment of attachments. Thanks to intelligent electronics, the FSA 400 is able to recognise the cutting attachment currently fitted and will adjust the RPM to suit and to ensure the best power delivery and efficiency is delivered. As an example, the AutoCut 46-2 can operate from 3'600 up to 5'00RPM, while the PolyCut 48-2 or BrushCut blades have a higher operating range from the starting 3'600 up to 6'900RPM (depending on which of three speed levels you are currently operating in).
It has been designed for professionals working in landscaping or grounds maintenance, the bike-handle design makes it great at clearing large areas quickly and effortlessly and it is supplied with a double shoulder harness to help even more with balance and weight distribution, a must when working for any length of time. As well as this, it has been designed with comfort and ergonomics in mind - the battery slots securely into the body of the saw giving optimal balance, the handles are comfortable in the hand and the placement of these as well as the motor and gearhead result in a well-balanced machine that is simple and easy to handle.
As well as the supplied standard harness, the FSA 411 has been designed so that you can also use the X-Flex harness; the new design to the anti-vibration systems includes a support with 10 holes to attach the harness to, giving a greater range of adaptability so that different users can get the right fit and balance easily and quickly no matter their height.

In order to achieve the full 2kW of potential power, STIHL recommend the FSA 400 is used with the AP 500 S battery which will give runtimes from 15 minutes up to 40 minutes (depending on attachment being used and material being tackled)
