The NEW STIHL MS 300 C-M is a professional petrol chainsaw which has been developed for demanding professional users needing a powerful, lightweight and easy-to-handle saw for everyday forestry tasks. It has been designed as a direct replacement to the ever-popular MS 261 C-M and has been completely redeveloped to deliver exceptional performance within the 50cc chainsaw class.
Faster acceleration, higher torque, improved fuel economy and a new compact, light-weight design makes ensures the MS 300 is not only a replacement for its predecessor, but a marked improvement which is noticeable when put to work. It really is the perfect choice for high-performance forestry work in even the most demanding conditions and has been designed for the felling and processing of medium sized trees. - A low body weight of only 4.8kg (dry weight and without bar & chain), compact and slim-line design leading to lower gyroscopic forces. (This is approximately 100g lighter then the MS 261 C-M).
- Larger 53.3cc engine delivering 3.3kW and a 15% increase in torque from 3.0Nm to 3.4Nm gives this saw the best power-to-weight ratio in the 50cc class. (An increase from 50.2cc and 3kW in the MS 261 C-M).
- Equipped with the latest M-Tronic 3.0 engine management system allowing the saw to automatically adjust fuel metering and ignition timing for optimum engine performance across a range of working conditions, as well as the tried and tested 2-MIX engine for easy & reliable starting with reduced fuel consumption.
- New covers feature a felling line on the top cover as well as two parallel plunge cutting direction lines on the fan housing allowing you to quickly see exactly where your bar and chain are within the tree.
- The new, improved design makes the MS 300 exceptionally easy to handle. This is thanks to the improved geometry of the rear handle with softer curves and a wider design and more ergonomic design of the top, wrap around handle.
- The rib pattern on the underside of the body as been increased and elongated making it easier for the saw to glide along the trunk when snedding.
These improvements to the engine with its increase in power and torque ensure the MS 300 maintains a steady cutting speed even in thicker wood giving it a lower risk of bogging down mid-cut; it also delivers rapid chain acceleration from 0 to 100km/h in just 0.25 which is comparable to the much larger, fuel-injected MS 500i! Fitted as standard with the Light 04 guide bar and the .325" RS Pro saw chain it will provide you with excellent cutting performance and precise handling allowing you to work faster and more accurately. It is also compatible with the new HEXA cutting chain which will be available in 2027 giving even more increase to cutting performance.
