MS 462 C-M PETROL CHAINSAW: RELIABLE AND POWERFUL 4.4KW FORESTRY CHAINSAW.
The STIHL MS 462 C-M is a high-powered yet lightweight petrol chainsaw perfect for forestry work; the 4.4kW engine accelerates quickly and with it being the lightest chainsaw in its cubic capacity class at just 6.0kg, it really is an impressive all-rounder. The 2-MIX engine technology ensures high torque over a wide range of speed making those tougher jobs easier to handle, and with extremely fast acceleration even from a cold start with the M-Tronic electronic management system, you can concentrate on your work knowing the saw will always deliver optimal engine performance. The lighter flywheel with it's smaller diameter reduces gyroscopic force on acceleration and gives you optimal handling and control making it a saw to handle both felling and pruning jobs.
In addition to the outstanding engine performance, the new body design with its improved features makes it more manoeuvrable and easier to stay in control;
- The optimised sprocket cover is narrower and flatter than on previous models and with integrated slide rails and a guide edge, it makes it easier to guide the power tool along the trunk
- A plunge guide has been added to the fan housing, with the markings, it ensures better directional control and safe use of the machine during plunge cutting.
- Optimised bumper spikes with their rounded arrangement, match the radial contours of the trees meaning you get an even better bite into the wood when cutting to length and felling.
The MS 362 C-M also features a long-life, pre-separation air filtration system with an easy clean HD2 filter and a new radial seal preventing the intake of finer dust particles increasing the life of the engine and reducing wear. Other handy features are a side chain tensioner for easy adjustments to the chain, captive chain nuts to make chain replacement simple, tool free filler caps on both the fuel and oil tanks for easy opening and locking without the need for tools, and of course an anti-vibration system which significantly reduces vibrations at the handles making it more comfortable to use for extended periods of time.
