MSA 260 C-O CORDLESS CHAINSAW: POWERFUL BATTERY CHAINSAW DESIGNED FOR DEMANDING PROFESSIONAL USE.
The NEW STIHL MSA 260 C-O is a brand new saw designed for arborists, professionals within the forestry sector and landscapers looking for high-performance cutting combined with low-weight, excellent manoeuvrability and clever design features to make your working life easier. It is positioned between the MSA 220 and the MSA 300 offering the ideal balance of power, agility and high-productivity for demanding daily use and is one of the first of many new products designed for use with the new ALLPRO 40V battery system. (*It is also compatible with the existing AP battery range but in order to achieve full power and best results, it must be used with the AP 300 S or higher*)
The MSA 260 C-O provides the performance required forestry tasks such as felling small trees as well as the processing of them afterwards; it delivers 2.0kW of mechanical power and 2.8Nm of torque with a maximum chain speed of 24m/s making it an extremely capable saw without all of the noise, fumes and vibrations of a petrol saw. It has been designed to work with the new ALLPRO AP 200 P delivering an exceptional balance of runtime, performance, weight and manoeuvrability. With the ALLPRO AP 200 P in place, the MSA 260 C-O will easily fell and delimb two pine trees measuring 30cm in diameter and 15m in height, or achieve up to 25 minutes of working time, depending on the application.
The body of the saw weighs just 3.7kg, when fitted with the bar & chain, chain oil and the ALLPRO AP 200 P battery, it still weighs under 6kg helping to reduce operator fatigue when used for extended periods of time. It makes for a highly manoeuvrable saw that has been engineered for comfort thanks to the new design of the handles as well as reduced vibration levels of just 2.9m/s² on the left handle and 2.7m/s² on the right. As well as these comfort features, the time-out for the activation switch has been increased to 5 seconds, this is a direct result of feedback on the previous saw and will make it much easier and quicker to move between tasks without having to complete the whole starting procedure each time.
Other handy features designed to make the working life of the professional user easier:
- Adjustable oil pump - control the flow of chain oil based on the task at hand.
- Replaceable metal bumper spikes - these are easy to remove and replace when needed.
- Interchangeable rim sprocket - allowing you to swap from 3/8" Picco chain or 0.325" depending on you needs.
- New sprocket cover design - with side-mounted chain tensioning and improved chip dispersal.
- Handy HMI display - displaying handy info. such as chain brake status and oil warning light.
- Metal mesh air filter - removable from the front of the saw and designed for optimal motor cooling and easy cleaning.

As this is part of the ALLPRO AP range, productivity can be further enhanced with the use of the PS 2000 power bank and the AL 1802 charger. With this system in use, you can charge any of the ALLPRO AP batteries to 80% in 9 minutes meaning you will charge batteries quicker then you can use them! With up to 4 batteries in use and being cycled throughout the day, you will be able to work for longer with little-no interruptions.
