SGA 60 CORDLESS BACKPACK SPRAYER: FOR USE IN FRUIT GROWING, HORTICULTURE, AGRICULTURE & VITICULTURE.
The SGA 60 is part of the AK System family of tools; it has been designed for a variety of uses in gardens, allotments, orchards and other landscaping tasks. It can be used to spray water, disperse both pesticides and fertilisers as well as treating plants all without the need to manually pump the sprayer allowing you to work for longer periods of time without having to stop.
The powerful battery-operated pumps delivers excellent spraying performance and is supplied with a range of different nozzles:
- Single nozzle (4.5bar / 65psi) Use for general spraying work in small to medium sized areas, best used for spreading pesticides and fertilisers.
- Double nozzle (2.2bar / 32psi) Use for spraying around larger areas such as lawns and fields, it is a good choice for spraying herbicides and wish to complete the job quickly.
- Quadruple nozzle (4.3bar / 62psi) This is used for spraying very large areas, it is for intensive applications such as spraying fertilisers or insecticides in fields and large lawns.
- Fan-jet nozzle (4.3bar / 62psi) Best used for precise spraying applications such as spraying beds, borders and hedges, or for use in weed control along pathways.
- Adjustable nozzle (0.9-3.6bar / 12-52psi) This nozzle gives maximum flexibility allowing you to choose from different spray patterns and thicknesses whilst tackling a variety of applications such as spraying trees or shrubs.
You are also supplied with an adapter nozzle which allows you to fit and use a range of different spraying attachments such as a brass nozzle.
There is a large filler opening with a strainer to stop large particles from entering the tank, there is then a smaller filter located in the tank to prevent smaller contaminants from getting into the pump, this helps deliver reliable operation and constant power delivery. The large tank will hold 15 litres of liquid and when compared to a traditional manual sprayer, the battery-operated SGA 60 makes spraying tasks much more manageable; it will maintain consistent and accurate pressure throughout the spraying process.
The wide, padded shoulder straps and back pads plus a handy chest strap make it comfortable to wear over long periods of use; the handy carrying handle located on top of the straps also make it easy to transport around the working area. The lance holder will keep it safely stowed away during transport and storage and the battery and power switch are safely covered by a battery protection flap. This will keep it protected from both dust and debris as well as water and other liquid splashes giving the sprayer a certification of IPX4 meaning it is protected from water splashes on all sides.
**PLEASE NOTE** While other tools in the AK range are supplied as a kit form as well as tool only, the SGA 60 is ONLY available as a stand alone tool. The range of AK batteries will give different run times based on size, as an example, the AK 10 will give a runtime of up to 270 minutes.
