The HT5110E is ideal for cutting narrow, longer hedges with thicker stem widths; with a 51cm cutting length and a 33mm blade gap, it will chew up thick stems and branches. This new model has been upgraded giving 33% more run time, 43% less vibration and increased cutting speeds when compared to the previous HT5100E. It is quick and simple to switch between high and low cutting speeds thanks to the digital speed selector and clear user interface.
The rotating handle offers the user even greater flexibility when it comes to cutting as it can be rotated 45° & 90° left and right allowing you to adjust the tool to suit your preferred cutting stance, and it has a two-speed control so that you can apply more power for those thicker stems, or conserve battery life and cut at a more conservative rate for longer.
The HT5110E comes with a blade tip protector to prevent any damage not only to the blades, but to walls or fences if accidental contact is made, there is a safety blade guard which helps to prevent user injuries and also an electric blade brake which will stop the blades from moving as soon as the trigger is released. The gearbox has been given an upgrade thanks to the new magnesium alloy design which provides enhanced strength and durability while keeping the weight down. It has also been designed with a greasing point making the lubricating the gearbox much easier, quicker and less messy.
This 51cm cordless hedge trimmer is well balanced, easy to control and comfortable to use; with its shorter cutting length it is easy to follow the existing contours of hedges and produce a precise, top-class finish. It is also part of the EGO Professional range meaning that as well as the standard 5 year domestic warranty, it will also benefit from a full, 2 year professional warranty.
This hedge trimmer is compatible with all batteries in the EGO range giving runtimes from 80 minutes with the 2.5Ah battery right up to 440minutes from the 12.0Ah.
