The STIHL HLA 56 is light-weight, and well balanced with exceptionally long-reach making it the perfect tool for cutting taller hedges and shrubs in the garden. The double-edged, droplet shaped blades with their large tooth spacing of 30mm, guide the branches between the cutting teeth for a precise, even finish giving you an excellent cutting performance without all the fumes, noise and vibrations of a petrol hedge trimmer. The blades also have a tip protector as standard allowing you to cut closer to the walls, fences or even the ground without damage.
The head can easily be angled from -45 degrees to +90 degrees without the need for tools simply by pressing the large angle adjustment button on the side; this makes it an adaptable tool to have in your kit, giving you greater control over vertical cutting of tall hedges or horizontal trimming of ground-covering plants. The shaft is detachable making it much easier to transport and store the HLA 56 and with the handy wall-mounted storage bracket included, the individual shaft components can be stored tidily out of the way.
Simple and easy to use and stay in control of thanks to all of the controls being on the one handle; the orange locking lever on the top is self-resetting and prevents unintentional switching on, the black ERGO lever & orange main trigger lever at the bottom of the handle are pressed together to allow you to continuously work with ease. The comfortable loop handle ensures greater freedom of movement and easy handling even when in confined spaces.
